Hi all.

This is my first time hydroponic grow. Using a homemade aeroponic setup.

been vegging for 3 weeks, just switched to Flowering cycle. Flushed system at 10 days, currently flushing now.

Northern Lights
Vegged under 400w MH
Flowering under 600w HPS
Good Ventilation
EC - 1.8 - 2
PH 5.8 - 6.0

I'm currently flushing as have just switched to Flowering cycle. I got some pretty unhealthy looking lower fan leaves on some of the plants.

Please have a look at my pics

I've read that it could be deficiency of Mg or B. Perhaps because water is tap water and i live in a very hard water area, sometimes can cause Nute lockout. Let me know your thoughts please +++ rep.
Thinking of refilling with bottled spring water tomorrow.

Let me know

Thanks

Dan

Try distilled water next time, or what I do is, I fill up my spare reservoir(which is just a 20gal plastic bin with lid) with more water than what I need and let it sit until next time I swap the water. It allows the chlorine and other minerals to dissipate.

I'm going to buy some plain bottled water this morning. Plants have been in a flushing solution for 36hrs. Going to raise EC to 2 and see what happens. I'm struggling to find distilled water anywhere, only place i can get it sells it in 500ml containers, i need 20L!!

Well i re-filled with shop-bought water and raised EC to 2.2, i'm still having problems. Some of the other lower leaves are starting to show the same.

I'm going to leave some tap water out for a week a re-fill

Can anyone tell me what is wrong? What nutes are missing, so at least i can try some remedies.

Thanks

D

I'd drop the EC, rather than raise it, and being that the problem is getting worse then I think down is the right direction.

The problem looks Calcium/Phosphate based, but beyond that I cannot say. What are you using in such high doses to get your EC up there? Have you calibrated your pH meter recently?

I'd say stick to 1/2 strength macro nutrients with full strength Bloom supplement and possibly some cal-mag. Take the EC to 1.5 to 1.6 and ride that pony for a while.
