Bulb Fixtures on the cheap?

So I'm wondering what sort of lamp sockets you all use to plug your CFLs into?
I couldnt find any threads about it but it looks like most of you are using home made stuff.
Could anyone point me in the direction of a DIY thread or a cheap fixture online?
I also couldn't find any 3-way sockets which would be ideal imo.
Im sure theres already a thread on this somewhere but I couldnt find any

Thanks

Home depot and stores like it sell clamp lights. The ones with ceramic bases and thich cords can handle quite a bit of wattage (many CFLs).

You can use with or without the clamp/reflector. These are also sold for higher prices at reptile stores.

Cool thanks, how many splitters can you stack in one socket do you figure?
Are there any 3-way or more sockets? Or does everyone just use a whole pile of Y splitters

Ceramic sockets can handle a ton of stress and those Y splitters are rated at 650w I am pretty sure. You can put quite a few together.

I purchased some really cheap bathroom vanity fixtures. Here is a 4 bulb for $4 http://www.lightingdirect.com/index...age=search:browse&categoryid=1742&s=price_low

I found 3' 6 bulb and 4' 8 bulb ones for $3.50 online somewhere. Throw a couple Y splitters on one of those and you are set.
