Hey, I'm going to make a bar for my man cave, I have this idea that I want to try. For the bar itself I am going to cut a piece of 3/4 inch plywood to 23x60 inches, then stain it. Then cut oak strips to border it, on the 2 sides and front, they will be 1, 3/4 inches the back strip I will make 2, 3/4. This will give me a 1nch ledge almost like a big rolling tray.i will then place the prettiest fresh fan leaves and buds I have on hand at the time, into the interior of the tray. Arranging them in a artistic fahion, covering almost the entire area.then pour liquid glass, 1 gallon at hobby store is around $40.00. Into the tray until it is level With the 1 inch sides, allow it to dry and use this for the top of the bar. Any ideas would be great, as I have never used the liquid glass before, just seen it at a hobby store I shop at.
