Building a 5x5 grow room soon.

Hello fellow rollitup's I am in the process of building my own grow room. I want to build a 5x5 by 8Ft tall room of my own. I currently have a 1000 watt hydrofarm ballast that is switchable from HPS to Halide, I have one 1000 watt HPS and one 1000 watt halide. I have a few questions I hope to get answered with out any of the sarcasm.

1. What type of material should I use for my walls, (OSB, drywall, compressed particle board ect).
2. Should I use white paint (if so what kind is the best) or should I go mylar or something better for the reflective part.
3. What size and brand of fan should I use along with what brand and size of charcoal air filter?
4. Should I use an intake fan to bring in fresh air and if so what brand and size would be good?

These are for the most part newbie questions and I hope to get some good honest opinions.

Also my set will be inside my garage, in the country (California Central Valley).

Thanks everyone.

I used plywood and masonite to build mine .. but use what ever you got at hand or is cheap or you like to build with ..

and I did cover it with white plastic ..

tho I did check the reflection both on flat white paint and Maylor ..

and maylor is way better then white paint .. 3x as reflectiv ..
so use a littel money on maylor insted of paint .. I did buy myself another sheet of maylor for that wall after discovering how good maylor is compaird to white paint ..

about out take fan .. with a 1000K light you realy need a cool tube in my oppinion .. would be a good investment ..
a 1K light do produce A LOT of heat .. enough to warm up a normal appartment ..

but atlest a big fan .. 6" minimum .. sumthing like this ..

combosmallsite.jpg

but making it runn through a cool tube would realy help you controle temps in a small space like that (I know)
just make the tubes and bends as littel as possible .. boath tubeing and bends and the filter take a lot of the sug from a ventilation so make sure to count that in aswell ..

here is a link:
https://www.greenpassion.org/index....size-vent-fan-do-i-need-and-intake-area-size/

with some ways of calculating what size ventilation you need for your room/light ..

about intake fan .. I use one .. a 4" .. tho I only had it since I got one that was to small for my room/temps ..
so had to buy a 6" ventilation insted .. so was left with the 4" .. use it with some tubeing at a window to help pulling fresh air/co2 in ..

but not nesseary .. a passiv intake will be enough ..
tho if you can runn just a tube or two a few meters or sumthing to a window or intake ..
the underpresure your outtake ventilation will create will be enough to pull air in ..

so passiv intake hole/s (normaly need to be 2-3x the size of the outtake) will be enough ..
your choise if you want it to pull air in from the room it stand in (temps will build up in that room if you also let outtake air in to it)
or collect air from out side .. also other thing to consider .. like the air from the out side is to cold etc. or if you continue to reuse old/hot air from the same room aso.

ther is no abc here .. its all a run and trail .. but with a 1K light you better make sure to do a good job .. and get a big ****** ventilation .. that for sure ..

hope this help you get a better picture of what you need .. feel free to ask more if your in doubt ..

Ooh yea ..

and about the filter ..
just have to be able to haldle the ventilation or more ..
if you get a filter that is to small and cant take the air being pulld through it .. it will let smell out ,..

so if you etc. get a ventilation on 280M3/hr make sure your filter can take etc. 300M3/hr ..
