Hey All, first timer here, things were going really well, until about 3 days ago when I noticed some spots on some of my lower fan leaves. My baby is 3 weeks into flower right now, and don't want to do anything drastic till I hear from all the pros!20121015_194106.jpg20121015_194029.jpg

thanks in advance!

thrips?

take a potato and put it cut side down in the soil. wait 6-12 hours and look at it, you should see your bug crawling on the surface of the potato

thanks old school. I actually just stopped at my local hydro store and he says thrips to. He sold me some organic spray that is supposed to be safe to use during flower...but I will post some info about it later when I'm home and see what the verdict is...all I can remember about it is that it's derived from the chrysanthemum(sp?) flower.

thanks coho, yes that's the active ingredient it says....is it safe to use now since I'm in flower?? Also, someone else just said it may be "black spot"....I'm assuming that's a mould of some kind, but my humidity stays quite low and I never foliar sprayed once i went into 12/12

yo! here are some new pics of one of the affected leaves. Thrips or "black spot". My humidity is at 45% if that matters

the potato method will tell you in a very short amount of time. then you wont have to be guessing. 12 hours and you lift the potato up and you will see bugs crawling on them if you have them. its that easy to tell. a potato costs what .50$

if its thrips your best bet is Spinosad. its even ORMI (organic)

yep, put a potatoe on it last night, but have to wait to check it till afterwork today. Thanks for the advice oldschool!
