I have a small, 28"x18"x68" indoor grow cabinet utilizing LED lights. All is going well, except there are gnats or flies attracted to the lights/plants. They don't seem to be bothering the plants or me. I have removed the plants and sprayed the cabinet with a pyrethium based insecticide, but they come back after a few days. I'm thinking just leave them alone. Welcome any opinions

they will bother the plants sooner or later, clean up the room well with bleach or peroxide and remove dead leaves and any open water containers as that is where they hatch and feed. if you're growing in soil, let the top layer of the soil dry to kill the larvae. you can use gnatrol it's cheap and organic and kills all larvae effectively.

Before you follow this line of thinking. Look very cloely at your soil. Do you see any of the little flies living there? If not more than likely you just have a few random insects attracted by the light. Most likely no worries. Fungus nats spend most of their time in and around the soil. Not up and around the lights. Just watch your plants and soil closely for any signs of invasion.
