I'm freaking out...... 3 weeks into flower. I know that leaf was not like that when the lights came on last night.

Two other leaves, 1 on the same plant and one leave right next to the other on a second plant.

I don't see any bugs, i don't have a magnifying glass though.

Pleas help, this is my first grow, no experience with this and I need to keep these girls healthy and happy till harvest.

Thanks

In one night. No cats, no rats that I have ever seen in the area even. Grow room is pretty well sealed, and the flower room is sealed in that.

I do have a tower fan, the leaf can't reach it though. I moved the fan last night as I typically do, so you got me thinking maybe it clipped the leaf when I moved it.......so I picked up the fan right now and tried to chop a leaf, the leaf wont get into the grate on front or back, even trying to manipulate it by moving the fan around ip against it.

Is that a lot of leaf missing for one night? I'm like 8 out of 13 weeks in and everything is getting scary now. I don't want to lose these girls.

Yeah, that's a lot for one night. Have you been spraying anything preventative for pests? If so, they might already be dead. If not, you need to get it figured out so consider your plants under attack and take a war footing. Check the back of every one of those leaves for green insects that can blend in. If you can't find anything, I'd consider either a pyrethrum bomb or a spray of azamax at lights out and put down some mouse traps and sticky pads. I try not to spray anything during flower but once there is an issue, you gotta do something. Maybe sprinkle a little DE around the pots to see if anything makes tracks. If you can sneak into your room with a green light a couple times during the dark period that might help as well. Seems to me you are looking for something big. Good luck!

You have caterpillar damage there, most likely a moth entered your room at some point a laid an egg or a few, or it hitchhiked in. You should be able to find it somewhere, look very hard. If you cant find it then you can either get some BTK or BT, Bacillus Thuringiensis, once the caterpillars ingest this bacteria that sicken and die rather quickly. The bacteria is harmless to humans and pets. Or you can spray with neem oil and the caterpillar wont want to eat your leaves anymore, being in week 3 of flower you are still safe to spray neem with out damaging the taste and smell of your buds because they aren't that developed yet. Garlic repels them, cinnamon, Pyrethrum combined with rotenone. This is all information from the book Marijuana Garden Saver, which I think everybody that grows ought to own a copy :) Good luck to you!

Thanks Bugeye, Mammoth. Lights just went off, I was on the prowl and haven't found anything yet. I'll spend a few hours in there tonight when the lights come back on.

Something I did find has me very confused and disturbed. This is my first grow so I'm still new to the way bids form. I grew these from clones. While I was on the prowl I found little sacks or pods by my pistils, or preflowers. They are frosty with crystals, may be female, but I haven't seen these before. I recently had a 1 time 20 hr long dark period to change my light schedule. I hope i didn't herm my ladies. Really fuckin' hope not. Here is the best shots
I could get.image.jpg
Am I just a stupid noob who can't tell sex? Please tell me.

Those little pods are where seeds get formed if pollination occurs, they are not male parts. Looks all female to me.

Oh god!! Thank you Bugeye! I'm over here here thinking oh my gosh.......my face was pale and body feeling weird. Thanks for the help man. Also, Bugeye, your greenhouse is kick ass dude, beautiful. I'm reading through your grow. I jumped ahead and saw your harvest :) now I'm going through page by page, very good documenting and again, what a beautiful spot you have! Thanks again!

Well lights are coming on in just under 30 minutes. I'm gonna get in there as soon as I hear the timer click and try to catch this guy in action, lil' fucker. I also got some pyrethrin/sulfer spray from Lowes, by Natria. So plan is to catch him in action and relocate him(if I'm not just pissed and squish his little ass). Then assess the damage and figure out wheter spraying is needed or not, or should I spray afterwards regardless. Or if I don't find him, just spray. I want to get a green spectrum light so I can hunt at lights off while the critters are actibely eating. Hopefully I can solve this issue tonight. Fingers crossed :)
