Bugs and orange powder in bag of promix

This was all over the edge of the soil. If I dug deeper there was none. Does anyone know what it is? Bunch of small bugs came out when I opened it as well.

Looks like the Mycos in the mix were being pretty active. I wonder if the bale was stored in such a way that it got wet/damp on one side and kicked all the microbiome into high gear.

Bag shows signs of being wet at one point. Is it safe to use? My buddy said it looks like slime mold that I dried out

I usually take these kind of things of signs of a good healthy medium to work with.
