buds too hairy?

i cant say as if i have ever seen plants with so much hair? after harvest and ready to trim i bet i had a 1/4 z of hair nothing but hair. did i do something wrong? i used 1 bag mg compost 2 b ags perlite 3 heaping handfuls of pete. dutch treat is the strain. i used flora nova from veg to bud. also the buzz is lacking 1000 w hps to flower and cfl to veg.has been curing in jars with lids off at least 1 hr a day for2 weeks. how long before i can seal the jar and put them up and not worry about mold. thanks for your replies and look forward to being a better farmer :wall:

my hairs are 50 to 75 percent brown and trichomes milky and some were turning yellow.

It would've swollen up more with more time.

The hairs have nothing to do with harvest, it's the calyx and trichs you want to watch.

Yeah Dutch Treat is a haze strain right? Those usually take at least 90 days...

my friend is doing these now under 2 X 1000 watt HPS there 6 weeks in and there going to be coming down next week.these are the seeds here http://www.hempdepot.ca/seeds/east_island/DutchTreat.html

ah so i guess it's 80 percent indica looking at that link so it's not really on the haze side of things. I looked up dutch treat on google and found dutch treat haze so my mistake sorry.

my plants sure dont look like the one in the link.. o well im in michigan and i dont have heat in my room yet so i had run out of time i had a small heater during the day aqnd night with the heat of the hps light also at nite. this spring am planning on putting a ventless propane heater in there will help with co2 also. thanks for all ur responses
