Buds got wet from rain 1 week from harvest!!! HELP!!!!!

So there it rained today, and is going to rain on and off for the next three days. I am one week away from harvest. It is supposed to warm up after three days. Do I chop them early? What are the consequences of chopping early? Also, how do you dry wet nugs????? Should I put them under a 1000 watt light?? Please offer any advice.

The choice is really up to you. This will be a risk though... The only thing that you are losing by chopping now is a little potency and some yield maybe. This might actually be a lighter more sativa like high. If they are wet when you chop em just hang buds upside down in a very well aerated space.

dont cut them if its gonna be dry and warm, let them dry off outside before you cut them if you can. maybe get a fan out there in the garden to help move air around to stop mold/mildew from growing.

don't dry them under a 1000w lamp, that would destroy a lot of THC and dry it out too fast making it taste grassy. just shake them off real well and dry them like normal, make sure the air in the room is moving (fan,a/c) so they don't mold.

After it stops raining go out there with a hair dryer.Works well and your plants will need it!Oregon024

Shake the plant dry. Do not chop unless you really, absolutely have no other choice. You have waited this long, wait until it is ripe. If you have a mold problem start because of the wet weather, you can easily combat it with a H2O2 and water solution, a baking soda and water solution, or a milk and water solution. If you develop a bud rot problem due to weather, chop out the rot completely (means get some healthy plant material around the rot area to make sure) or just chop off that particular bud, and then use one of the solutions as a preventative. If the rot comes back, you may have no choice but to chop.

Why not just use a fan? blowing that hot dry air will kill a lot of trichomes.



plus it blows way more air than a blow dryer. I would hate to have to go through my whole garden with a fucking hair blower. just get a big cheap fan and leave it out there on low the morning after a rain.(after you shake them off) and move the fan every 30 min or so till everythings mostly dry. (you don't need it bone dry)

lol, nice. I was hungover as fuck and woke up to my plants being soaked. you gotta do what you gotta do. better than using a hair dryer and trying to dry 20 pounds.

... and that's why you pay more for smaller yields... wait, or any yeilds? didnt you just make a thread asking how to smoke resin and like 2 more begging people to give you weed? where's all your indoor at? it's harvest season and I just ran out of my outdoor from last year.. I grow indoor in the winter too but once you've had fire organic outdoor nothing else really cuts it.

nice one with the fan i havnt had to deal with rain yet on my outdoor girls but there is a shit load of humidity right now.. i just noticed a tiny bit of rott.. no worries tho i cut it all off and plan on taking the whole plant down soon anyways..
