This is where my passion for living soil comes from right here. You think the weed you can grow in it is dank? Just wait until you grow your own food in it. Studies have shown that the way the roots communicate with the microbes in a living soil are via exuding terpenes, the same terpenes we're all after in terms of getting flavorful cannabis. If you take that same soil and put literally any kind of vegetable or fruit in it, you will not only experience incredible results but the quality will be so unreal you won't go back to your grocery store if you can. I'm finding out that I like a lot of vegetables I thought I "hated". Turns out the vegetables didn't suck, the methods used to cultivate it did.

With a quality living soil, left to it's own devices the plant and the soil will literally take care of everything for you. That means that with this knowledge, anyone can not only grow cannabis but food! If everyone had the means and knowledge to do this, not only would shit produce lose it's demand but people wouldn't go hungry anymore.
it's funny you should should mention the produce; I got into living soils because I wanted quality food for myself. I made raised beds outside and got into organic gardening practices and one day I was out there and it dawned on me... "I should be doing this with my indoor cannabis too!" I hopped online and found the organic forum here and never looked back. My background in biology made it very easy to adjust to living soil growing. I think I'm into my third year now of water only gardening. Cheers!

I don't see anything to be proud of here, just made the right decision on letting the plant live in its prefered enviromet. But thanks man. Looking forward to harvest if she can stop spitting white pistils..

Oh I see I see.

Its crazy how forgiving nature is. My soil temps were waaaaay under the optimum level through whole grow. And my soil was never dry so water acted like coolant in a car. It was around 15C maybe lower when lights are off. Just seeing everything working perfectly to balance every mistake I made was eye opening for me. Very cool first grow experience, Couldn't be better. I always imagined feeding the plant with colorfull fluids and growing ultra sterile when I tought about growing weed. Thats way above that, I'm literally watching a minature earth in 2x2 space. There is weird cover crop growing that I've never seen(comes from forest top soil compost). Worms in every inch of soil after 2 knuckles deep. Weird spiders popping out from the wood chips when I'm training the plants. I think there is even ants in there, guess they no good but who cares. I don't trouble them. Seeing different bugs running under the pot right when lights come on. Crazy shit people.. You gotta give living organics a try if you didn't already. Some people hate it some people just fall in love with it.

I covered the pot with heated blanked now, I know its not safe because I'm not sure if its waterprof but its not touching to runoff or bottom of the pot so I'm saying "take a chance Columbus did".

It works pretty good for now.

Caveman, I deal with the same problems on my end regarding the cold. I put one of those hydro farm seedling Matts under my fabric pots and it helped big time. Not sure if that would work with your setup, just an idea and maybe a little safer than the electric blanket

Pretty sure its safer. Tought about it but runoff kinda confused me. But then I'm not letting any runoff anyway. Probably will look for affordible one when I go to the growshop.

some people just can't handle not being in complete control (ego?) Some people literally think any bug in the grow is a bad bug! when you learn to just let nature take its course, gently guiding it along the way, you really learn to appreciate the simplicity but also marvel at the precision of how it works. It's a great thing :)

I'll post some update pictures if it stops giving server error. I think blanked is helping pretty good. Plants look healthier.

Growth rate changed incredibly after adding the electric blanket. All the plants just exploded with fresh white pistils, healthiest they ever looked. I guess it makes sense, cold slows down metabolism big time. I can't imagine how they would look if I had the blanket on since day 1 just by seeing the difference for 1 day.

yeah i'm experiencing the same thing in my room. it's too cold. I had planned on doing a flower room renovation before the winter struck, but I just didn't have the funds to do it. I need to do it regardless though, cause before I know it summer will be here, and i'll be in the same boat but dealing with heat rather than cold!

I really wish I knew it was this important. Makes so much sense but too late. Eh whatever.

I just had a very unique experience while I was high on some trimmings. Plants look amazing. Tent smells like pure haze. Opened the tent, was checking them out everything is frosted out, then I realized this was my dream for more than 5 years. I couldn't imagine seeing alive flowers from close up like 2 years ago. Now I'm looking at my own flowers and bonus to that they look as good as they could be. That fucking tripped me out for a minute lol. Cool stuff.
