bud smelled great before i put it in jars....will the smell come back

well the title says it all i dried for almost 4 days then jarred it was crispy when i put it in the jars next day i was moist again so i left the lid off for 3 or 4 hours and put it back on meantime the smell has went from a strong fruity skunky stank to a kinda hay smell
so plz tell me someone where did i go wrong or is that just what it does..

That's what I've noticed. I think it's the clorophyll metabolizing, once it's gone the dank smell will start coming back.
