Bud Rot or Just Nutrient Deficient and Dry

Sorry if you saw these pictures earlier but just wanted to start new topic with new pictures.

Flushed around 4-5 weeks ago because I thought they were done but then starting checking trichome color and wanted to wait for them to turn amber but didn't want to start using nutrients again so I figured that is the cause.

There are certain parts of the buds (mostly the outsides and the top of each bud) where it is discolored (brown/dark yellowish) and they are very dry. The leaves started drying up and dying around 5 weeks ago but once again because of the trichome color I chose to keep them going because every post I saw said better longer than harvesting early.

I just want to make sure this isn't bud rot and I'm not going to hurt myself smoking this. They say bud rot starts from the inside and if that is the case then this isn't it because it basically started from the tips of the leaves and worked its way in.

The insides are very green and moist but a lot of the outside and the sugar leaves are crispy and dry. I just harvested today.

Please let me know any additional info to help y'all

What kind of lights are you using and how close? Its looks like its burned from the light.
I've had bud rot twice outside but it look like that. It was kind of mushy brown mess that started at the stem and worked its way to the outside of the bud.

It looks like Light burn, how are the buds lower down on the plant ? I am almost positive it is not bud rot. It's either light burn or nutes burn. You know you don't have to wait for all the Trichomes to turn amber, Just a percentage of them if you wait for all them to turn it will be to late. all in all the Stem looks healthy do trim off the burn and let it cure and try it out if it starts to pop or crackle don't use it, but I believe you should be okay. Good Luck hope all works out for you...

Agreed with these 2. Looks like you had some nute burn issue not a big deal but too close to the light and it makes your sugar leaves dry up and die like an old leaf.
