Bud rot harvest time

Hello all! My plant is due to be harvested in another 3 days but was looking to go a bit longer. right now I have 10% amber triches but am showing a tad of bud rot. not much at all. We had and are again in a heat wave but this time I have AC. Should I harvest a tad early, say a few days to a week to avoid anymore rot? I only saw it in the top cola so far which is by far the fattest. It is only showing on one of 4 plants on the one bud. Thanks ALL!

Not to worry - for now have a fan hitting the "bad" spots - then when drying keep "Bud Rot" buds separate . The mold is caused by poor air circulation, this happen to tops of plants some times. Pot will be ok - cure separate also. no harm in smoking what amount you have. Not so much about temps as it is for air circulation through the buds. (May be next time some defoliation might help ?) A fan would - at high/medium levels of plants height

Thanks for the reply. Would you harvest early when trichomes are 10% amber or just add a another fan and wait another few days to a week?

I just reread your response. I misunderstood. Ok I will get tha fan concentrated on the trouble area. Can I use the rotted bud to make BHO I make it with acetone as it is cheaper. It takes longer to evaporate but works the same if not better IMO

I heard in order for you to make bho from it you need to pass it tbrough a certain micron filter. I just had my first harvest and threw away about an oz...

Dont risk your health man but get more personal experience if you want.

Thanks kind sir. I can only see 1/8th to 1/4 oz being affected so yea its no big deal to trash plush I have 3 other plans and another space with 8 more vegging. So would you harvest a few days early to avoid anymore rot? whats your opinion on that? I think I am looking for an excuse to harvest early. lol It is 10% amber triches. Recommended flower time is 45-60 days tomorrow will be day 58 from showing its first pistols. I know some start counting when they switch to 12/12 if that was the case it would be day 62-63

If that's when you want to harvest or "fan" it for a week then harvest - really no matter; except your personal choice if "high" wanted. Or just "take" the affected parts off plant and let the rest grow for a while - another thought !!
