Bud Formation?

I'm about 12 days into flowering four different strains and all of them were forming bud locations by 9 days.
 
Ok I am 8 days in and appears that is happening with mine and I have three strains. I had seen another example from someone else after 10 days and they looked much farther along thus the question.
 
Different strains develop at different times and rates, but all end up at the same place.
