I never said anything about proving any of that. I'm proving I can be lazy and put the minimal amount of effort in and get lucky enough to harvest quality bud without manipulating all sorts of other factors. Can the high-grade Blurple do it... We shall see...
'Quality' is relative.
If all youve ever seen is mediocre or poor quality mids then anything is better than that I suppose. Blurples are a decade ago. There's were better options then and there's still better now. I never fell for the blurple phase. Skipped out on that and just did cmh and cobs instead because I did research. Anyone I know who wasted money on blurps have them weighing down some important paperwork now, or holding a door open.. about all they're good for.
Will they grow weed? Yep so will a twisty CFL. But there's far better options available especially for the price nowadays. I doubt that light is actually pulling 650 watts. Even so the footprint on those lights is awful. Too intense in the middle and edges drop off very quick. It's just old tech that tried to be leading edge but got replaced by true science real fast rendering it obselete.

It wins when it comes to heat. (From what I've been told/read). I agree that they're dated. I see so few write-ups on blurples and even digging into the archives I see very little to pick from. Judging from picture some of the older Blurples have large diodes that are a mix of red and blue. My light must have 50+ diodes including green and yellow spectrum. I also believe that chart I posted above, not that its complete, of course it isn't going mroe in-depth into the spectrum... but the idea it has that kind of power gives me faith and I'm seeing it in my grow. My plant isn't flowering the way I hoped but the buds are rock hard and frosty and smell like a motherfucker and I'm only 35 days in. They are certainly not CFLs.

I know cobb is probably a better option also, but remember my grow space. And I rent so I cant be hammering out holes in plaster to get rid of air.

I wanted the simplest, easiest, least hassle of producing as best quality bud that I could. Of course I'm paying for yield/quality on some level but so far its good enough, and not a hot heat mess or closet full of wires and ducting.

I will post a grow journal when I'm done..
