Brothers grim C99 xx

Hi I have noticed brothers grim are now selling C99 again this time feminised and markeded as c99xx. Strongly interested in doing another C99 grow but these beans are really expensive.like you can buy 3 female seeds C99 version.

What would be the benefit of growing bro grimm beans, when female seeds version is bred from bro grim plants to start with?

Not sure it's a benefit, but Brothers Grimm was the creator of C99 I believe. I just threw the 2 freebies of the BG C99xx in the cup and both germinated and are looking good so far.

There have been some bad reports on here about their new stuff, but I'm giving it a go. Will report how it goes.

I think I'll take your input and just go with female seeds version. Please do let me know how yours turns out.

Even though they are the originators I have not heard a single good review of their new c99.
I have heard great things about the female seeds version. I myself have had great luck with the c99 from peakseedsbc. Was everything I remembered it being. His is from the original stock of c99 from before bros grimm shutdown.

I might check that out then I've grown fs version multiple times. Always happy.. But I'm looking to see who else offers a good rep of it

It isn't listed on his site. Just a cross with the c99 is. You have to email and ask for it. There are pictures of it in my old journal. The grapefruit pheno is nice but the one pheno that started out smelling almost like rotten meat in flowering, then changing to a strong pineapple was exactly like the original c99 a good friend grew years ago.

BG was on the Dude grows show last year, and from what I remember he was very careful NOT to say it was from an original cut but from some ancestry and the conversation moved elsewhere.

I grew out one Joey's Weed C99 and got the grapefruit pheno. Very nice high but want to see if the pineapple is different. Also have the Peak version in seeds but not grown any yet. The Bros Grimm C99 that was reissued or the new one, has gotten good reviews from what I had seen. Not exactly the same as the old one though as far as I know.

image.jpg Here's a pic of some Brothers Grimm C99 that I grew earlier this year. I can't tell ya how it would compare to the old version, or any other breeder. I just grew two females that came from reg seeds, one of them was tropical fruit all the way through, the other started out smelling like some funky cheese smell, at harvest it was fruity smelling with just a hint of the cheese. I really like it, it's a really clear headed high and energetic. Nothing foggy about it, just a clear buzz, narcotic feeling, at least for me. I also made 3 to 400 fem beans from them, so I'll have it around for a while. Also, everyone that tried it really liked it.

Hey Puff, just harvested one of the c99 xxs. The other one I'm keeping but didn't like the growth of this one so I just flowered her out to see what's what.

Here's a nug shot from my phone of what's left. I smoked the rest :)

Came out pretty good and I'm hoping the other plant will be a little stronger. Low yielder, wasn't vegged long and I flowered out using no top dressings or teas in a 1 gal cloth pot on a 1200wt led. After about a week of curing the jar smelled just like Captain Crunch cereal. Pretty awesome smell 8/10. Tasted good let's say 6/10. High was about a 6/10 nice sativa up high but not overwhelming. 9weeks. Came out much better than I thought it would and for a fem freebie seed I'm pretty happy. Bros Grimm is back! Looking forward to smoking the next XX plant and the A11 seeds.

Grew this outdoors last summer and enjoyed it very much, feel BG's description on their site is very accurate. It is energizing but also leaves me feeling smoothed out. One of my favorite plants that I grew for the year, really enjoy the spicy, anise, citrusy aromas. Seems to be pretty much Jack Herer more or less. Will be growing again this summer along with a Cinderella XX, received 3 beans as a freebie.

I finished the recently retired Apollo 13 and it had Jack Herer traits. Not impressed with the smell or bud structure (very loose) but the smoke is enjoyable and very potent, very heady. Because of the bud structure I don’t believe I will continue with this strain.
