broke flowering branch..from main stem v shaped snapped

Broke a main branch from v shape stem.. Hanging by string... I put it back together with a cottonball(moist) and duck tape.. Next day still lookin alive but leaves look droopy.. I been misting it every couple hrs.. What do u think? It will live? Been a whole day!! Alive but droopy leeaves....
 
You did the right thing with the tape. If it's still alive after 1 day, it's probably fine.. If the xylem isn't ripped, it will heal. It probably would have wilted by now.

Thank u so much... Just feel real bad...hopefully it recovers... So the droopy leaves is pretyy normal for the the first day?
 
U made me feel better... Thanks more or less how long will it recover? Is misting water the right thing?
 
This happened to me last crop . I duct taped back on and added a strip of tape about 2" up for added support. worked just fine.
 
When this happens to me it was suggested to take a piece of wire starting above the bend and twist it around the stem similar to say, the spring at the bottom of an ink pen but obviously not that close together but finish below the bend and she's fixed.
And it does work great. Its also amazing to watch how in most cases it will then heal itself fairly quickly.
