I started mainlineing 4days ago i yesterday ii began to train the two branches one of the branches broke about half way through right at where it comes off trunk the leaves are not wilting or looking bad on the tip I through some tape around it and propped UUP wit a v'd wire I had plants be fine from this just never done it this young and location where it happened
Suggestions or comments appreciated

I cut through a branch once or twice and it was hanging on the plant by a piece of skin. Tapped it up and it grew on fine lol. Hardy plant

Yeah it'll be cool dude. I always top for four branches and if one is a bit taller than the rest ill pinch it's stem to slow down growth for a few days. I used the same technique when I mainlined a few plants

You will know if the break was to much if the leaves start drooping and shriveling up. It takes a day or two for that to happen. Good luck! Peace

If the branch made it 2 days showing no considerable stress, you will probably be ok. I've had and we all have had similar experiences with breakage, but love and care helps a bunch! Hang in there friend! Peace

Has long has it is not wilting then it will be fine if it starts to wilt then tape it up,

Best to train the stems a little at a time by pulling it over tying it to the bucket or table.tie them down to the bucket then after a few days a bit more till it goes under the table squares. You will only need to do this on the thicker stems the thin ones tend to be easy to train.

ya its was has been about 3 days now and I taped her up the day it happened but all is well she kep growing so that's good I was just nervous bc it was the main 2 branches of my mainline that you top to get all of the tops and if one would have died bc of that I would of had 1 branch to work with but ya its all good

just out of curiosity when you say pinch it you literally just will squeeze the stem is this when they are a lot younger and the stems are much eaiser to squeeze a manipulate if its not where are you pinching at with the older heavier branch like stem and

Yes literally get the stem between thumb and forefinger and squeeze. When the stem feels like it's popped that's perfect, if the stem splits it's no biggie just takes a bit longer to repair.

It's like the start to supercropping just without the savage bending and manipulating of the plant that always goes wrong for me most of the time lol.

The beauty of this simple technique is that while it can be used to get your canopy at the same height, like LST and supercropping after the stem has been pinched and repairs itself the stem will literally come back twice as big and sting and support a much bigger cola.
Every plant i see gets the treatment

nice ill have to try it I have got a bunch being mainlined and with all the tops am sure its gonna need assistance in supporting them all but if it can be done with out strings would b best but ill I give this a whirl on one

Hope your broken branch survived! It's great to see that you are trying to do things right and learn new stuff at the same time. Any picture updates? Peace
