BRIX and Refractometer levels

9 isn't bad. You can hit 20+ with a cannabis plant though. It does depend on the kind of plant somewhat.

Organic or non?

organic og kush, in the ground, 30 days into flower, at least 30 days to go, thanks for the reply. i read molases can boost the brix level. i feed some guano & dr earth, every fourth feeding. any suggestions on adding nutes to the feedings?

Try the molasses out, read after the fact what's up with your number. It can help. You feeding silica at all? Also aloe sprays, coconut water and compost teas (sprayed and watered).

Where do you see 9 ? All I see is a gizmo there with some weed around it. LOL Thanks .
Also what is the advantage taking a reading in mid flower? Would like to know much more about Brix. If you spray stuff on the leaves , won't it mess up the brix reading when the goal is to take a reading during peak ripeness? Wouldn't it vary between strains? eyes gots to no !!

Well, it will let you know if what you're doing is helping or not. I tend to leave some lower branches that don't get much light just to do tests in flower. You can also take fan leaves and get sap from those.

Spraying in flower boosts your levels. You can see the difference after spraying Aloe you can also measure it with your meter. Or, if something actually hurt you can also measure with the meter. It's a tool to use to tell you if you're doing things right or wrong.

The brix scale was invented a long time ago by a scientist attempting to help grape farmers grow the sweetest grapes quite some time ago. He discovered that you could measure the change in light refraction relative to sugar level. He invented the scale, it is arbitrary.
