I like using apple cider vinegar with the same seasoning you put on the brisket mixed in to it

Started at 7:30 this morning hoping to be ready by 7 tonight
Damn, now you have me wishing I was doing a brisket. I have a piece of brisket in the freezer but there's no way I can get it started now and I have some chicken brining for fried chicken anyway. But I think I'll pull out the brisket I have and do it in a few days.
