Breeding for seeds using fluorescent lights

I just read (i think it was in Skunk mag) not to use fluorescent lights if you are breeding for seeds. I'm using 4 T5's 2ft long and i'm wondering if those will work or has anyone tried breeding for seeds using fluorescent lights or T5's and did the seeds become viable. It did not say why not to use fluorescent lights but i'm curious to know the reason why. Thanks, Joe
