Breeding fem auto flowers

Hi roll it up,

First post.
My topic involves trying to replicate an autoflower strain that I currently have through breeding.

I have two strains that are similar to each other, both suit my needs. Both strains are from different sources but both share the same autoflower trait and cannabinoid profile I need. However they are both autoflower feminized seed.

I have feminized before, so I know I can get either of these strains to herm out.

My question is, what would make a more stable strain. Crossing the two strains together and make a new strain? Or inbreed the strains individually to themselves?

Help please!

2 years ago I had a Chocolate Skunk Auto seed.
I got it to pollinate itself and ended up with 240 seeds. Grew/smoked it for a year. (Conclusion=inbred rocks!)
A year ago I had a seed each of....
Cash Crop Auto
Ogeezus Auto
Jack Herer Auto
AK Auto
Got them to all pollinate themselves and I pollinated a Chocokate Skunk with each one.
Just dropped 12 in #3 pots 4 days ago.
They all popped!
I should be able to offer an opinion in 3-4 months on crosses.

Did you stress it out or use chemical to make it grow the seeds?

How can u stress auto to make pollen?
I read an article of using aspirin, using silver seems to work better, using gibberellic acid...

Don't know rhe name but remember seeing something that works better than the CS but figured it was that way. So much easier than beating the shit out of them for seeds XD

STS / Silver thiosulfate

Tiresais spray works great
(if u have fresh bottle)

Silver thiosulfate aka STS. Couple sprays and it's done.

Cs or sts both work. Sts being more reliable.

Spray cs right when sex shows daily for a couple weeks as they enter flower.

Crossing two strains and making a cross will be about as stable as selfing it.

Oh man...
Just got making CS to the point where I didn't have to think much.
Sure gets old spraying everyday though.
Going to have to give STS a shot.
Love new data.

I'm familiar with making and using "colloidal silver". So far haven't used silver thiosulfate. First fem seeds I ever made were from the rodelization method back in the weed stone age.

Yeah i was going to use the cs way but im going to try sts first. read into the thread and u will find how to make sts

that's what I use and it has worked every time GREAT FOR ME OUT DOORS.

This works great ..... from amazon . Only one I use.

Grab any ( dark spray bottle / small ) and refill as needed.
I originally tried TIRESAS MIST ( worked but silver mountain was better deal ) , when I was out of Tiresas , I just kept bottle and refilled.


For autos , pretty easy . Autos start to sex out around Day 30 ( ISH ) give or take , so as “ soon “ as I see very early pubes forming on her , I target the first node set and the early budsites forming at bottom and carefully spray that node once a day. Do not get it on any of the rest of the plant ( especially if plan to consume this plant ).

I do it prior to lights out , using a paper plate with a slit that slid over stem to protect upper plant area against overspray and transfer. I actually at times LEFT that paper plate collar ( use cheap styrofoam , not plastic which may slice into stem ) and left it there , and only lifted slightly to MIST.
You not growing anything but pods so it will not affect any of the plant you are growing. In about 2 weeks or so pods will form , once they do stop spraying. Check your plant daily ... they grow fucking fast !

After awhile , they swell and split so timing is everything , clip the little branches and tweezer the left over pods , collect them , dry them out ( I use an old mirror ) in an area with no fans ( I covered with Tupperware cake top ) . I store in old cava cone tube once dry and store in butter tray area of fridge.

This is BLUE DREAM femmy pollen , so no matter AUTO or regular fem seed I can add this strain to the mix.



You can sacrifice an AUTO seed ( to a solo cup grow ) and spray the whole thing and collect lots of pollen , like above . The stored pods in tube are over a year in . When needed , I dump a few , lightly smash them to dump and razor blade it for use in a small pile . Then you can pollinate any plant that’s week 1 or 2 of flower. If you plan it right , you can have a set of preflowering autos ( or regs ) at the time you need it and perpetuate a seed run , plus get smoke.

Do you mix your own? It's my understanding it's not stable for long after mixing the 2 components? Asking because you see it for sale on Ebay. Premixed.
