What if someone creates 10,000 s33ds and out of those 500 don't germinate (95%). You could be the unlucky dude who got 10, or 50, or 100 of those 500. I would expect all s33ds to germinate if germinated properly. Some people don't have this issue, some people do (bad soil, hot medium, damp environments, cold, etc, etc.)

Personally I normally blame myself if a seed doesn't pop. As did the poster.

And when s33ds are dry, they are dry imo. 6 years down the line the seed should still germinate....or a 100 years down the line even. Nature is clever that way.

Everyone has their own opinion though.

78% pop ratio is not very good........If I don't hit 95%, I generally don't go back again. Fresh stuff should have no issue popping pretty easily.

Very true. I found a pretty quick way and been having almost 100% success rate on popping seeds. Zip lock bag, soak a paper towel with a 1/4tsp of super thrive, fold it up, squeeze it out, fold the seeds inside put in zip lock bag, I have a flap in my mylar above my cfl box put it in there which gets some nice heat and 24 hrs later roots. Works just about everytime.

Just wanted to give an update on beans that I have popped and germ rates so far from Breeders Boutique.

All beans are left in a wet paper towel and bagged sitting on a small heat mat.

Dog 2 of 2
Sour Cherry 3 of 4
Dippy Ellsy 2 of 3
Qrazy Quake 2 of 2
Cheese Surprise 3 of 4
Casey Jones 3 of 4

Keep in mind I don't have the best record for popping seeds so this is a great result for me.
Good line up bro, I'll have to get a cut of that Sour Cherry & The Dog from you too.

I have a nice little hot spot on top of my Home Entertainment system where the beans go to hatch:)

Thanks for the response DST. After reading it someone could mistake that there are an issue with the seeds which is not the case. This is probably my 3rd time popping seeds and I am FAR FROM proficient in it. I was just reporting what a newb grower is doing with your beans. :)

Jhod you know you have some coming. :)

No worries, I have put loads of beans down for them not to pop. Only to see mysterious MJ growing in my compost pile, lol. I seriously put down 10 Grape Ape seeds once and not one of them popped up...doh, what a fail that was. Still have never grown Grape Ape, lol.

Thanks again DST.. I actually have tossed the ones out that didn't pop into my "Whatever" area from last season so if anything pops up there I will be ready. LOL

Can I ask a personal question of you?

What is your favorite Breeders Boutique strain and why? You don't have to answer. I was just wondering and thought it would be a cool topic for the thread. :D

Tuff one ABM! The DOG is my favourite smoke without a doubt. Just hits all my buttons, high, stoned, morish taste that wants you to go back for more. Although I had done a fair bit of work on the Deep Blue which I have now crossed with the DOG (Blue Pit just cropped), I think one of my other faves was the Engineers Dream. Just something special about this mix that was created. Really produced some interesting phenos with some off the hook smells and tastes. And super powerfull as well. I have a few on the go just now so can't wait to smomke the end product again.

Thanks! The Dog got me from the first word and I can't wait to try it. Engineers Dream was sold out when I bought my packs so I will have to wait till the next round to give that a shot. :) I eventually want to try them all just because they look so appealing by the descriptions alone. :)

Thanks for answering the question!

Getting my dogs in line too. Some blue pit clones too. Well shit got a whole load of strains going from them right now. Loving the Smell of the Dog and Southern Charm, Smelly Cherry. Sour Cherry is putting out a ruby colors in preflower.

Interested to see your Sour Cherry's guys. I ran 10 when I first got them and out of the females (I think I got about 40% females) 3 of the 4 had mad colouring. The green pheno I got was very Sour and I thought a little bit stronger than the lovely aestheticly pleasing ones (Red flowers, Deep Purple flowers).

Just have some back lighting on so your camera knows what to focus in on. Otherwise it can get a bit fuzzy and blurred:)

Here you go DST. It's the best that I could do with what I had. Hopefully as it gets bigger I will be able to get better shots.
