How much of an issue is that?
I noticed most tents I saw were pretty wrinkly

Wrinkles help defuse the light in different directions. Take a look at headlights on cars. The reflector isn't smooth. Each ridge is made to disperse the light into horizontal beam. Same deal on a wrinkly reflective walls. The light will reflect all over the place.

That's along the lines I was thinking, so wrinkly is good then? Helps prevent hot spots?

It's why nobody uses mirrors. Flat reflective surface and you get a straight beam bouncing back. Wrinkles scatter the light.
