Brandon's frost factory

Hello all I'm back again for my second round. This time I'm going to be using 10 gallon smart pots as my final container size. I'm going all organic this round I'll be using ffof again. I have an assortment of amendments to pick from that I've slowly accumulated over time most of them I plan to add to my worm bin or use in teas (when I build my compost brewer and get my worms and worm bin). As for now my plan is to use spikes and top dressing with ewc (store bought) and dry organic fertilizer (gaia green brand). I will be using coco coir and a 6 seed blend from black swallow living soils as mulch.

As for seeds they were started on the 8th of September. So I have a Geloto, zkittles glue, triple cheese, and a wedding cake. I will take pictures of them later. They all seem to be doing fairly well I inoculated them with endomicroriza when I planted them into there large yourgert containers filled with ffof. 3 of them came up with seed shell stuck on them I think it was because my holes weren't deep enough afadding the micro. And they have streached a bit more than I like so I've lowered the light a bit and re adjusted the fan to blow on them a bit better.

My equipment this round is..

Mars hydro reflector 96
Sunsystem 150w
Two small desk fans
4x4 fusion hut tent
4 inch fan and filter combo

It seems like this round the plants are growing much faster its amazing what mycorrhiza can do for the plant.

20190914_131325.jpg finally got the tent all set up there all looking good just worried about the triple cheese it got away from my height wise and is looking a bit tippy. I hung the light at 13 inches hopefully the plants will respond well I'll check into them later today. 20190914_131345.jpg I'll try to get individual pictures tomorrow of each front right is gelato and working clock wise triple cheese, zkittles glue, and the shorty wedding cake.

Not much to say for today I added some coco coir as mulch to help stabilize the humidity seems to be working so far and the worm bin is on it's way so that's exciting. If anyone has a worm bin and has any tips for me that would be great also suggestions on bedding would be nice I'm looking for cheap or free sources and dont want to use peat moss because apparently it's not a sustainable source and coco coir is pricey up my way

Looking good man!! A cheap bedding is shredded brown card board or shredded recycled paper. It just can’t have ink on it or I’ve seen straw used

Thanks not sure why the Geloto and triple cheese are still leaning a bit possibly still to much weight for the stalk?
I think there just getting top heavy mate doesn’t hurt to support them. I also bury my stalks in deeper when I repot them.

Ok thanks good to get a second opinion I also bought some recycle sil apparently its supposed to help strengthen cell walls I'll see if I can find a stake for them when I get home just in case they get any worse it's really just the gelato I'm worried about. The rest of the plants look good. The triple cheese still has some mutated leaves I heard that can be a genetic thing I've also heard that tm7 can cause abnormal growth if its administered to early on. I'll let it play out could be interesting.

I plan on mixing some ewc's to my soil mix for when I transplant I'm also going to add a bit of 444 from gaia green about a cup of ewc's and just a sprinkle or two of the 444 and I'll mix some alfalfa and coco coir for mulch probably at a ratio of 1 part alfalfa to 4 parts coco coir. I'll be doing my first transplant when the pots dry out a two of them have quite a few hairs coming out the bottom. The gelato and the zkittles glue I think.

Just watered all 4 today I made a mix of 2tbl spoons of gaia green 444 and a 1/2tbl spoon of glacial rock dust then topped jar up to 3/4 full with alfalfa meal gave the plants a top dress with a half tbl spoon before watering and covered with coco coir 20190928_161915.jpg I will take pictures tomorrow of them all
