Bottom Leaves are yellowing

I have two plants that both of the bottom leaves have started to yellow. I am using no nutrients, watering with tap water that has been left out for at least 24 hours, the soil is my own compost, I water two times a day once at 10:00 am and another at around midnight. The plants are just over a week old. My other plant in the same soil on the same regement is doing fine. though they are just some bag seeds

I'm using 3 23 watt cfl's in a 2.5 by 2.5 box.

prob lack of nitrogen, start using neutz 1/4 strength of recommended dose! and dont over do it, also think bout watering less frequent!!

Thanks man, I was starting to think it might me over watering. I guess I need to find some nutrients

great advice!, same things happening to mine, keep an eye on your Ph and as said before don't over-water. very bad

I have a question. If it is nitrogen deficiency is there any way to get nitrogen into the soil with out nutes? Ya know, some kind of house hole chemical or food product?

If none of the other leaves are yellowing then i would still add a little nutes start of on a small dose and work your way up to recomended dose for age of plants .it is not uncomman for the bottom leaves to die off this could be a natural dieing off of the first leaves.becafeful what you are doing you could cause your self a hall heap of problem.

Well one of the plants top leaf has gotten a brown dried tip on it. I just noticed that a few seconds ago

I'm not the one to ask about this, i'm new to nutes myself but i think if you were to give it something like you suggested it could either slow-release the nitrogen which could lead to more problems later or end up giving too much and burning them.

No seedling needs water twice a day, IMO. The roots need to seek water, not sit in it.
