both topping and lst'ing

check it out. I'm doing both topping and lst'ing. I've read somewhere that your not supposed to top a plant more than 2 times but it doesn't say why. Does anyone know why its bad? I would like to know before top all the branches again. My plan is to top all the branches and have it grow down the barrel.

I topped at the 4th node and then topped all the branches at their 1st or 2nd nodes. I'm thinking its alright to top the new branches but would like others opinions. ok here's a couple more pics of my monster. Its hard to believe she was the runt of the litter. She has grown past all my other plants. I haven't fed her any nutes and don't think i will, just compost tea.

a little update on my plant. Its been a week and growth has really started to pick up. The lst'ing seems to be going good and I'm still debating on whether or not i should top again. Even tho its bitch tying down all those branches its gunna be well worth it. Hopefully it starts flowering soon, its supposed to flower in 50 days and finish first week of September so it should start flowering in a couple weeks.

here's the pictures.

my understanding is that every time you top the plant you are stressing the sh#t out of it. It's not meant to be sliced in half, especially multiple times. You've certainly got yourslef a beut there... I'll smoke a little j for you in prayer that you haven't stressed it into being a male.

Yeah thats right it does stress them and they dont like that, it takes them around two weeks to recover on top of that it will cause small bud, Try fiming them lst in flower.

Oh I see. thanks magic. It already has a couple female flowers, I also thought sex was predetermined in the seed, maybe not. I would hope this lady doesn't turn male. I have found a plant thats topped recovers much faster than when fim'ed. I'll probly just keep tying her down.

LST is the way to go. Each time you top the plant the potency of the 2 new stems is less than the original. There are many factors that go into the equation of sexing, such as nitrogen levels during the seedling stage, lighting schedules, and stress to name just a few. The sexuality of these plants are genetically "predisposed" as seeds, not "predetermined."

well I've been tying this baby down every week, the stems aren't very flexible so its been tough. I figure it has to be tied down one more time before flowering starts. Heres a couple pics.

Your plant obviously is reacting well to the LST and topping. It does vary by strain, but with yours I would obviously say go for it

Well I tied her down one last time around 3 days ago. She has endured a lot of pain and suffering but all her wounds have healed and she's getting ready to bud. Also today I pollinated some of the hairs with a diesel ryder male. Heres some pics from today.

in the last 3 days she's started to green up very nicely. I counted 20 main tops and 30 small tops. I've noticed this strain has absolutely no odor at all. I can't believe its already august.... man it feels like this season is going by fast.
