Botanicare PBP line

I'm using Botanicare pure blend pro line of nutrients.
I currently am only using the pbp grow for veg, pbp bloom soil formula for flowering and cal-mag.

I am thinking about buying some more nutrients to add to my flowering stage such as the Hydroplex bloom enhancer. Since my plants just showed the first sigs of budding.
Also possibly the liquid karma just for overall use.

I was considering getting the sweet and or the compost tea.

Don't know much about this line considering this is my first grow ever, will it really help increase yields and overall quality. Or as a first time grower should I just to stick the basics?

Also I am growing in HF soil if that helps at all or makes a difference...

I also use PBP Grow only. I use well water and ocean forest only from seed/clone to flower transplanting up with fresh soil for about 6 weeks.

Then around week 2 in flower I start supplementing with PBP grow at a low concentration. Work up through peak bloom and taper back down during ripening.

Simple and works great.

Nice! I have had excellent results with the kind line too. In pro mix and ocean forest.

I posted this in another thread today but here is a Black Widow x Blue Lemon Thai flowered in ocean forest with pure Blend Pro Grow and no other additives under a Hortilux 600wSuper hps.

So ya'll only use pbp grow through the whole veg and flower cycle??

Hmm, I was told to mix my pbp grow and bloom soil formula, I started with 80/20 veg/bloom.

Then I was going to work my way up 70/30, 60/40 etc. Every feeding until flush time.

Might just have to take y'alls advise and just use the grow.

Thing is with pure Blend Pro. The soil bloom is really formulated for outside where phosphorus is more easily leached from the soil.

The regular hydro bloom has a better ratio for indoors but the Grow is really much better as long as tapered properly in my experience.

Also dyna grow and advanced nutrients and others have proven the nute ratio in the plant tissue does not change drastically like the nute companies want you to think so you buy more bottles.

I'm sorry I'm not experienced in any of this, what do you exactly mean when you say as long as it's tapered properly?

That the strength of the nute mixture is reduced gradually as the buds ripen. The plant doesn’t use as much as it gets older and finishes. The same way it is good to slowly increase the amount over time as they get bigger.

Eventually you should be able to read the plants and know what they need and when.

Also. Best to hit reply when answering a comment or to alert someone here use @username.

Otherwise we don’t know it was us specifically you were talking to.

Hope this all helped.

What concentration do you start out at?

Since I am transitioning from ocean forest which already has nutes in it and I don’t know what is actually left I start at only 5ml around 2 weeks in the final pot.

Then go up 2.5 ml each watering until I see it’s enough or have some leaf stress or spots. Then back off or water only.

Every grow can be different so you have to learn to read the plants and react accordingly.

In my small 3 gallon pots with pretty big bushes I need to water only from time to time or only use 5ml to help wash out the build up around he roots.

Mucky yellow or worse brown runoff is a good indicator as well as white calcium buildup at the drain holes.

I never “flush” with 3-5x the volume of water though. I use a gallon of mix to get about 15-20% runoff when pots are dry and use the same but water only if I see there is too much nutes.

Thanks yeah I saw them recommending 2.5 tsp-2 tbls i was like wtf that's a lot. Im making a simple soil mix kind of like ocean forest and running in smaller 4 gal pots. figure I'll have enough nutes for veg and some flower but I need something to carry them through to finish, pbp looks like it'll do. Do you know how long it can sit in a res?

Don’t know. Always mix what I need and hand water.
