born into flower question

if a plant is put on a 12/12 light schedule as soon as it sprouts from seed, will it be ok? Will it hermie? Will it flower a single cola in SOG style?

Plenty of people do it, but there is an increased chance of hermies or males, since the plant is put into a stressed state.

I got neg repped the last time I said this, but I don't care. It is the truth. Some people just get defensive when you point out problems with methods that they use.

My advice, if you have the extra room and time, is to grow the plants to maturity, pick a good healthy female, and turn her into a mother plant to take clones from. All the clones will be guaranteed females, and you can safely flower them straight away. Plus, you never need to buy/acquire seeds ever again.

12/12 from seed will put some strain on the plant, making it more likely for it to hermie, bud I'd say that the chances are still small, since I've tried it several times with no hermies or males from feminized seeds as a result.

In you grow from 12/12, your plant will automatically veg for some 1-3 weeks and show no signs of flowers. Only after it has reached a minimum of height necessary to support bud growth, will flowers appear.
