borbor's 400watt hps laborboratory!

It's time to move out of my previous thread here and put one here outside the CFL section! I got the HPS quite some time ago, I've just been lazy, and now my first plant is harvested, so it's time for a new thread. Here's some stats and pics:
400 watt HPS, 2 26watt 6500k cfls and one 42watt 2700k cfl (for spectrum mixing) in the flowering room
foxfarm ocean forest soil
foxfarm grow big used in veg

in flowering I have been using GH maxibloom and bud candy, though I am running low on the free maxibloom a friend of mine gave me. today I went to the grow shop and bought tiger bloom and big bloom, so I'm switching to that now.

in the veg box there are 9 cfls, 6 26 watt 6500ks, 2 26watt 2700ks, and a 42watt 2700k.

the biggest two plants in the flowering room are S.A.G.E. (huge fan leaves, bigger buds) and a clone of my first plant-"magic merlin" bagseed. They have been flowering for 5 weeks and one day. The smaller, LSTed to the maximum plant is another clone of my first plant and it's my pride and joy, my girlfriend, she started 12/12 one week and 2 days ago. the other one in the flowering room is another S.A.G.E and she started 12/12 today. I'm trying a smart pot with that one to see if there's a big difference. anybody got anything to say about smart pots?

I put up bug traps today, earlier on in the grow I was noticing some bugs, but I'm not anymore, but better safe than sorry. I think the bugs probably came from the miracle grow organic choice, glad I switched to ffof.

both of the plants in the veg box are sage. I supercropped the hell out of one, but I'm pretty sure she's on the mend all by herself. the other (the pheno with fat fan leaves) has been topped (accidentally, but it worked)

sorry I haven't been posting at all, I'll do a round of pics tomorrow. Bought an inline duct fan today and hooked it up to exhaust, temps dropped like 4 degrees like instantly, hanging right around 77 or 78

I'm sorry this took so long. Here's an explanation of what you'll see

I took the bathrobe (lightproofing) off the veg chamber but never got around to putting pandafilm on it, so it's an open back that should have 10000% more ventilation but the day after that the supercropped plant started looking like crap, it looked worse the next day, and me not caring about that plant particularly (hence the supercropping experiment) because I wanted to have less plants, killed it. The one in veg now is special, I just like her phenos a lot as far as what she's shown me so far.
In the flowering closet, there is a rectangle of tarp on the right side that connects the closet to the air conditioner. temps stay around 78 now. In the top left there is a 4 inch inline exhaust fan. the ballast is on the dresser outside the grow room now.

front right-The LSTed clone is 3 weeks into flower tomorrow. she's my favorite.
Front left-The plant in the smart pot has been flowering for 11 days. I love her 11 fingered fan leaves up top.
The back row have both been flowering for 5 weeks and 5 days. on the right is the sage, obviously a much better producer than her bagseed clone friend on the left.

I only hung the HPS and no CFLs in the grow room for convenience, power efficiency, not having to run another surge protector, not having shit hanging everywhere when I'm trying to do something, better temps, and so I could go put bulbs in every empty socket in my house. There is the case for HID.

Looks awesome man. All the plants look great. What size pots are you using mostly? The 18g bin im using is way to big . Going to down size a lot next time.

sorry for the lack of updates, working a lot. got a carbon filter, about to get some kangaroots, microbe brew, and sledgehammer flush. Installed a zipper on the tarp into the room for easy access. Gonna start flushing the sage soon. After I harvest those two in the back I'm gonna start a blueberry in a hydro setup

How long do you plan on flowering out SAGE? was she a clone?

okay, fucking christ, I just spent two hours trying to fix my wireless internet because I typed a bunch of shit for you guys and then lost it because all of the comcast employees in colorado seem to just get together, pileup ass to mouth in a giant wheel formation, and roll around town sucking each other's dicks.

I'm gonna try and remember some of the shit I was gonna tell you.

The sage have all been from seed. the back row (clone of my 1st plant on the left and sage on the right) are both 8 weeks and one day flowering. gonna give nutes one more time and start flushing those. looking at chopping around 10 or 11 weeks.

the front row on the left is sage, that's been flowering for 3 weeks. The front right is another clone of my first plant, LSTed, either 4 or 5 weeks and 2 days (don't remember, not doing the fucking math again).

once those bitches in the back get harvested gonna put that other sage into flowering.

got a bunch of new nutes, in addition to the grow big, tiger bloom and big bloom I already had, I now have kangaroots, microbe brew, sledgehammer flush, and ziploc baggies full of cha-ching, beatie bloomz, and open sesame.

yeah, sorry man I've been trying to get my wireless working all day, if the problem is indeed my wireless, which I doubt. I'm on another computer where I can upload pics now. I spent the last four hours waiting for this exact set of pics to upload at a snail's crawl before upload failed (AGAIN)

by the way, I've heard estimates of the top nug on the sage being a half o to an o, I'd believe a half o to 3/4 of an o, hopefully a zip and a half off that whole plant

(which "belongs" to a dipshit friend of mine who started this plant in a toxic room with 4 inches on the stem before even the cotyledons showed up, and by toxic room I mean this fucking hippie dipshit is 23 years old and lives at home and can't even bring dishes out of his room so they fill with mold and insects and the room at its lowest temp in the summer is 85 degrees. I know I volunteered to save this poor plant's life, but every time this fuck refers to the plant as "his" I wanna kick him in the balls. I mean, I grew this plant from the brink of death to the brink of amazing weed, he just watched me do it, I should be getting minimum wage for this shit)

by the way, updates are infrequent because I spend most of my time in my garage, with no computer, but with a gamecube, a playstation 2, beer, and an 18 inch steamroller. I've also been working, and it's my first "serious" job, I've never worked this much before, never made this much before, never felt like so much of an adult before (I'm 21), so nothing is important to me anymore except the high I get from making 15000 a year in 30 hours a week driving around freestyling in my car with beats bumping like the hooker in the trunk is actually alive or something
