I have been wanting to get a nice bong but there are sooo many and they all seem nearly the same. What do you want to look for in a bong? Also what are all the different parts for and what effect do they have? Also what are the Roor Ice bongs?

i think that this may be the wrong section but anyway, I first look for at the quality of a bong. i want it to be durable and stay intact if it falls down. i think usually the european made bongs are some of the most durable ones. secondary importance to me is looks. i want to like the design and style of my bong.
some basic bong parts are a diffuser which is basically a downstem that has slits in it. this breaks the smoke up into smaller bubbles which increases the surface area of the smoke that hits the water which filters and cools the smoke more efficiently.
a perculator is an additional water chamber which gives the smoke an additional filter area and cools the smoke even more.
the bowls are just different bowls to put your weed in, some are larger than others and allow you to put more weed in them and you can also get ones that have cool designs and shapes and even change colors.
ash catchers catch the ash from getting into your bong water which keeps it cleener longer and helps the taste of the smoke because dirty water makes for a bad tasting smoke.
roor ice bongs i think is just a roor bong thats got a built in ice catcher. and ice catcher allows you to put an ice-cube in it which cools the smoke further before it gets to your mouth, making it a smoother hit.
roor bongs are known for their quality and durability. you cant go wrong with one. the onl downside is price. they're kind of expensive.
