I was doing something similar, in my "veg" tent I have a Vanderlife 1000w (pulls ~160) and a Mars hydro ts 600 in a 3x3. I use the "1000w" to veg my photo girls and the ts 600 to run my autos. (I've got 2 ts 600s in the flower tent) So, I don't think there is anything wrong with it. The ts 600 is all this girl ever saw, 24"inches base to tip, threw 3.5 oz and 2.5g of bubble hash from the trim. She was my best yet. Caramelicious auto from marijuana-seeds.nl and she tastes wonderful!

Better off saving for something better....the TS-1000 is a great budget light but not really enough with the other light for a 4x4.

When you say not enough , what would the down side be to running this ?
For starts....you want to have at least a good 480 watts from the wall for a 4x4 area. Those light together probably pull about half of that. So since it wouldnt be enough light, you can have very airy and stretched out plants.

Not knocking the TS-1000 at all as I own one myself but it just isnt enough with that other light included...

the blurple light pulls 223 out the wall and the ts1000 claims 155?

He says he already has both lights.

Yes, more light, more bud. Those lights just won't add as much bud as something better would. If you have them just laying around anyway, and have the space to run them, I don't see why not.

this is what’s odd to me . Red eye says 480 true watts minimum for a 4x4 tent. I research his claims and he’s accurate according to various websites. Okay that being said , Mars hydro claims that a ts1000 can cover a 3x3 . And a ts2000 can cover a 4x4 but the specs on the ts2 are literally almost exactly double the specs of the ts1 . How is it that it only covers 1 additional footage of area ? And the internet is saying a minimum of 480-500 true watts but even a ts2 only puts 300 watts ? Which by internet standards is poor standards . But proper to hydro ? Either someone is wrong or I’m missing something . Please forgive my light newbness in advance

Yes, 480 true watts of QUALITY LED for a 4x4. I don't consider Mars Hydro to be quality LED, so maybe like 500watts of their quantum-type boards. Blurple boards you need more like 700watts for a 4x4.

I’ve opted to return the crappy blurple and purchase ANOTHER ts1000 and run it in the same tent . Should be better than the blurple and a Mars . Better to just have two Mars . And then one day I’ll get a real good light and use the hydros for other stuffs . Hopefully it does well
