Blueberry strain questions

Anyone here ever grow the strain Blueberry?

I was wondering how it grows and if its worth growing, Yields, Taste, Time to flower, nutrient profile; ie magnesium whore? Lol

Am curious about this strain as i've always wanted to try it but is it worth the effort indoors?

I've grown it before (dj's along with other breeders crosses) really good.genetics I.have to say. Up here in the northeast its my only strain that shows zero mold and its real tasty.
As far as yield goes I'd say its a mid range yielder (for me at least). Ive been dabbling in some crosses lately. For.instance ill be starting blueberry cheesecake from female seeds real soon hopefully thatll kick the yield up a tad.

Gotta say the.only thing i dont lkke about blueberry is the damned price...real expensive.

Interesting info caveman, thanks, you say the price is expensive, I take that as in the seed prices?

Blueberry has never been around in my area and its always kush this kush that from the locals, I would like to introduce it :)

Ya I meant the seeds. The real expensive blueberry seeds are dj shorts blueberry, true blueberry etc. Thats the.original blueberry. But its gonna cost you upwards of $125 A ten pack of regulars.

If your not into risking that much on a strain just yet look into the lineage of "blue" strains or "berry" strains and im sure youll find ones that have dj shorts genetics in them as a parent.

Thank you brother, all very good information to know, much appreciated ! Am going to dig for some information tonight.

If you lived near me I would give you a nice fat White Voodoo bud for the insight. Lol

Thanks

Great strain. I grew it back in the day. . Not as potent as the newer strains today. Not a big yielder at all. Very flavor full. Requires a lot of training to get it to branch out. It's still a favorite amongst a lot people just for the flavor.

Dj shorts company is old world genetics. They're on instagram too.

They were selling packs of blueberry at the cups for $60 last year. I don't know how many were in those packs though. Dj short wasn't there. But his son was. His son made Whitaker blues and some others.

I might pick some up at chalice and run it again. For my breeding projects.

I'm growing a cut of Blueberry right now, supposed to be the old DJ Short cut. Slower grower than other strains but worth it for the old school stone :bigjoint:

I agree Cavemen, I found DJ's Blueberry a low yeilder, but of high quality

but what hit me was all my buddies didn't like 'blueberry'

that was OK by me lol

Widow cross berry perhaps? Nice everyone likes the potency, a little stretchy but a bit of a middle weight in its capacity. Most strain s are over 20% THC in good conditions?

If dj's blueberry is a wee bit expensive for you I would reccomend trying peak seeds blueberry, haven't tried it personally but I've heard great stuff about them and their prices are very fair.

I would definitely recommend anything Peak Seeds BC has. MikeJ has worked his lines well and is a legit breeder. Here is a pic of his Blueberry crossed to a BC Purple Kush, a very nice smoke...
