its a 20 watt flo, about 2 and 1/2 feet long. doesnt say anything on it...... it just produces blue light. would it do anything?

Yes, they work fine for vegetative growth, those lights are typically used to grow aquatic plants. And provide artificial sun light for fish.

okay... but im flowering right now with 5 cfl's at 2700k...... and adding this blue light.... what would it do?

ahhha florescent. Well to start some plants into veg you can get a simple $8-$15 2 tube garage shop light at like wal mart or home depot. get 2 of the 4 foot T8 bulbs in the 6500k light spectrum this is the bluer color and if it was flower youd use 2700k areas meaning bluer for veg redder for flower

you can mix blue with red for both flower and veg. The blue helps keep the plants fuller and more compact while in flower the red makes the plant stret6ch and yield better so if your mostly red in veg your gonna have longer leggy plants with less bushing and more stretch
