Blue Dream stretch?

Hey guys I've had a few Blue Dream plants going for a while in a pretty crammed veg room. I didn't really have room to bush them out so they got a little tall on me, about 3 feet.

Well My flower room finally opened up, so I moved some plants out of the veg room into the bloom room... I'm concerned these blue dream plants are going to stretch too much by the time they're done.. How much stretch are you guys seeing on your Blue Dream?

I could prune them back now and keep them in the bloom room.. or if pruning them back the day I move them into bloom is bad I could move just my Blue Dreams back into my veg room for another week after pruning them back.

What would you guys suggest? Can I just prune them back and leave them in the bloom room? I've never topped plants that late before.. I don't know if it would be bad or no big deal...

You should be alright topping the first couple weeks of flower. I had Super Lemon Haze grow really tall on me so I LST the branches by using string and fishing weights this bent the branches and kept them bent until harvest. Blue Dream should stretch some especially if you vegged her with a florescent and flower her with HPS.

take cuttings for back up..... put them in, and see what happens... if you dont think you can control them, just whack the top off of them and get whatever you get..... Stretching sucks, and its pretty much a waste of time in a flower room, as they take up too much room, and dont produce as much.... Bleh....... You should of made room for them and put them in a bigger pot... that's why they stretched on you...

well they stretched because there wasn't room in my 5x5' room to top and bush them out, I had 20+ plants crammed in there... but yeah they could have used a larger pot about a week earlier... I mistimed it a bit.. only about a week or two too much veg. But also and probably more due to the lack of space in the room, I've been trying to get and juggle a bunch of new strains so I think I did alright. I'll hack them down about a foot tonight and see what happens. I also put a couple extra in the room in case I don't like what happens, that way I can throw a couple away and not really lose anything. In fact I plan to watch the room for the next two weeks, see how it goes, and throw away 2 to get the room back down to my magic #.

thanks for the advice BeaverHuntr. I'll hack them down tonight. I had them vegging under a 600mh in a 5 x 5' grow tent, and threw them into my flower room last night which has two 1000w HPS in it. Yeah I'm not a big fan of stretch.. a little is cool but some are just crazy.. I prefer growing bushy stuff but all the stuff I want to smoke has stretch it seems like... I just grew out some chemdog and rockstar that were both fantastic producing, bushy plants, and the rockstar has a great fruity aroma that surprised me, nice bag appeal... just fyi.
