If you take another 1/2 or 1 hour of daily light it will stimulate the flowering.
I begin at 11.5 light/12.5 off and drop an hour every few weeks often ending at 9.5 or 10 hours of light daily. Flowers keep developing all the way through-
It works for me-View attachment 5294853View attachment 5294854View attachment 5294855View attachment 5294856View attachment 5294857View attachment 5294858
I will definitely be giving this method a try on this pheno run round

I get solid- very well developed bud using this method-every time.
To each his own-
It is also discussed extensively in the handbook- getting very specific about what is happening.
And those huge colas you are seeing were harvested at 10 weeks - the others in this group finished between 8-10 weeks-
Each time the plant senses less daily light it stimulates the development- similar to how it was stimulated into flower by lowering the light from 18 or 24 to 12.
This is my suggestion for the OP-
Do your own thing and be happy-

And do not stop feeding- I feed twice daily- growing in coco perlite mix- 3 gal fabric pots that I toss after each grow and use new bags

Boatguy is wrong. Think about what happens in nature. Hours of daylight çhange through out the seasons. At@ 14hrs of Daylight they start to flower and the daylight hrs drop from there. You can end up with 10 hrs Daylight if you choose to try this, and be fine. Dr. Bruce Bugbee from Utah university says there is no evidence that extended darkness before harvest does anything good. So don't waste time doing that. Maybe 24_48 hours of daylight before harvest is something else to try. Oops off on a tangent. Sorry I think that Bugbee stuff is for another thread. There is no way cutting daylight hrs is as harmful as cutting nutes... Imo...

Discontinuing feeding or daylight just to harvest faster is a backwards way of growing.
No amount of deficiencies will equal letting the plant finish on its own
From June 21 through December 21 the daily sunlight in the Northern Hemisphere is reduced daily- and more pronounced the further away from the equator.
Since cannabis is a warm weather plant- it seems that lowering the daily light would simply mimic nature- I believe Mother Nature has it correct and we are trying to mimic that environment-
I grow Indicas which are more reactive to the lower light times as they are usually grown in mountainous regions away from the equator-
sativas are generally grown outside closer to the equator so they may like the 12/12 schedule more-
Some varieties actually want to see less than 12 to even begin flowering-
I know this is a controversial subject- but my results are very good- judged by others- not just my opinion.
The bubble I make from the trim is outstanding- I really like it
