hello chaps, my cheese has started to go 'ginger' on the 3rd week of flower. is that normal?
blue cheese 3 weeks into flower (showing early?)

looks ok i think. but i dont think your hairs should be going amber already, is your light to close or did you get some kinda spray on the buds, like a folair spray that maybe was a little to strong?

i had a big buddha blue cheese pheno do this at week 3 and it finished after 9 weeks. I am currently having a G13 Labs Hypnotic doing the exact same thing since week 3 and its on week 7 now and no amber trichomes. Some phenos do this. you will still see the change from the glow/reflections from the plant when its done. that is if you dont look at the trichomes... wait for the hairs to recede back into the swollen calyxes

How was the blue cheese yield and smoke wise? I have some of that in vegging now.

yield was average and smoke was tasting like sweet berrys and preatty good potency. effect was calming and had some body but diddnt make you heavy. for me it worked good for reading books and having calm conversations, but my tolerance is veryt high... 
. id say its around 50/50 indica/sativa depending on pheno. also has phenos leaning towards both sides but not far from from 50/50..
