Blotching on leaves

I have a plant that seems to be growing healthy other than some light blotching on some of the leaves. It started on the first true set, which has now turned yellow, and has slowly spread to others. Plant is ~a month old. It just got it's second dose of Jack's Classic nutes (first dose was half strength). All other plants are perfect and seem to be responding well. I water with distilled water. Any ideas??

Maybe splashing of fertilizer water on top of leaves.........which will burn the leaves. Do you check pH with each watering? Some tips are showing some burn, which may mean over-fertilization. They don't look bad so far.

Definitely not splashing, I'm careful about that. It's been showing the entire life of the plant. Not sure about pH as I haven't tested it. It was recommended to me to just water with distilled and not worry so much about pH, as watching it too closely and trying to make adjustments can actually make things worse sometimes. I was actually a little hesitant to add nutes as the plants really weren't showing any signs of needing them. I went ahead and did so because.....i don't know because I'm a lemming and everyone else is doing it? Just seemed like the time most people start. I'm inexperienced as this is my first grow. If this were a pepper plant or turnip or cabbage or whatever from my garden I wouldn't even be worrying about it unless new growth started to look bad. But these are my babies man!! You know how it is. The picture is from a couple weeks ago. You can see the blotching was already there.

One more thing, and I'm not sure this matters, but this plant has some purple on the stems. I bought an indoor seed mix of unmarked, random seeds, so I thought it might just be characteristic of the strain, but I haven't noticed anyone else's plants with this coloration. So maybe it's related to the problem. I have 6 plants and the other 5 look great with no sign of any problems.

Have you seen any bugs recently?

I have not. Based on my past gardening experience I'm guessing it's some sort of nutrient excess/deficiency. I am almost positive it's not a watering problem either. Soil consists of 2 parts peat, 1 part each vermiculite and pearlite, a smidge of bonemeal, bloodmeal, lime, and compost. I've used this mix on lots of other plants and it works great. Super fluffy so roots can grow fast, holds tons of water due to high verm content, yet stays airy enough for healthy roots due to high pearlite content. It's really hard to overwater as long as you aren't watering every day (I've watered every 5-7 days so far).

Bad answer on the distilled water. You need to monitor your pH, especially since fertilizer is a salt and it can lower your pH dramatically. In a couple of weeks, as your issues continue to get worse, you'll need a pH/ppm meter. It amazes me how many newbies/beginners think they can get away with not having one...........
