bloom feed??????

hi guys...just trying to find some infop on bloom boosters, which ones you use, an the outcomes of them.

what im trying to do is compare the difference between AN Big Bud, and decide wether i should change to a different one???

i also thought about making my own bloom feed...but cant find anything on what is required to use, and what levels they need to be. ive seen a few homemade things on ebay but they look dodgy as hell

i also see that the AN Big Bud is a different formula than it used to be and the guy who made it no longer puts his name to it...so..where is he and his formula now???

I was thinking similar things this morning. I've always added Canna Boost, and was wondering if it actually made a noticeable difference, I'm not brave enough to try it though.

pk13/14 has a good name. i use Ionics booster(hydro) and superthrive. so far its lookin good.

Here is what i use.

I use CANNA AQUA range of nutes, along with RHIZOTONIC, CANNAZYM, PK13/14 and the CANNA BOOST. Added to this i use GROWTH TECHNOLOGY's LIQUID SILICON, and GHE RIPEN.

I use all the CANNA line at a max of EC1.2 (tried running my recirculating at EC1.5 and it was too much) I follow the CANNA feeding schedule for amounts per litre of all the other additions ZYM RHIZO PK and BOOST.

I use LIQUID SILICON from week1 of 12/12 at a rate of 0.5ml per litre.


During the last 10days i use the GHE RIPEN at an EC of 0.8 to finish the plants off along with altering light intensities (DIM down from 600w to 400w) for the final 2 weeks


Alot of WELL MARKETED products are actually tested using Laboratory Injection techniques which supply the supplements directly to the plants vascular system and usually remain untested via root application. Then they get packaged and marketed to growers claiming all sorts of super powers.


Personally i feel there are only a few things needed in order for most growers to get yields that they are happy with.

1.A full balanced nutrient profile

2.A good environment

Are you using SUPERTHRIVE during FLOWERING?


If so how are you finding it? I tried it once on a flowering plant and the plant really didnt produce very well at all! 11weeks Veg 10weeks flowering 2.5ft tall with around 2ounces on her dried.

yeah during flowering, jst started last week. kinda hard to tell to be honest. im in dwc for the first time with 3 soil plants next to it, the soil is just getting sum hydro nutes coz its all ive got sitting at the moment but the dwc is gettin Ionics bloom, boost, a touch of grow and a drop of superthrive. 3 weeks veg, 1 week flower and the dwc are twice the height and easily 4 times the mass of the soil so right now there looking great, i bought it on the advice of the hydro shop owner who i happen to know quite well.

Just be aware that it could stall the plant using the superthrive. Dont get me wrong its GREAT for Clones, Vegging, Motherplants etc but my hydro guy says to not use it in flowering.

IM sure i read here on RIU about B1 vitamins being a problem during flowering. Think it was in the ADVANCED CULTIVATION FORUM.


Anyhow keep a close eye on it...

My plant that went a little funny looked alot like N-tox at times due to what i think was the superthrive. Leaves weren't as DARK as they would normally be with N-tox but the curl was there if you know what i mean.
