Blocked from posting visitor messages

I tried responding to a visitor message a couple of days ago and it told me I didn't have permission. I thought it was a fluke so I waited and tried again today. Same message. Is there a particular reason I can't post a visitor message? Help?

If a member has their Private Messages, or Visitor Messages turned off, then you may not be able to send them a message.

Also, if a member has you on their ignore list, then you may not be able to message them.
