Blackening leaves, Fan leaves standing way up

I think both are related because my temps are good. Only in low to mid 70's F and lights 2 1/2 feet away. My RH is 45-50 My night temps go down to 63-65

Do you have a fan blowing directly on them? I don't get that rolled leaf unless my temps are much higher than yours. Or, if I blow a fan on them too much.

^ what they said on the leaf edges. The black leaves are likely genetics and a sign you'll get some purple in your buds. What strain?

One. The ripped. You have a problem with a temperature or temperature and humidity. Have you a fan?
The ripped its because the stomates in the leaves works better.
More info about the stomas https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stoma

Second. The blackening leaves. I think you have nitrogen abundance. Or its the genetic

Thanks az, I wondered that too but I turned my fan off a week ago but no change. It just keeps progressing to more plants.

My leaves have done strange things which I believe were the precursurs of an Mg def. They would roll over and expose their undersides. I don't recall if canoing was part of that. If it were me I'd probably try 1/4tsp/gal epsom salt. But, if you're near harvest you might not want to mess with things. Maybe feed with 100% runoff to see if it's an imbalance due to salt buildup.

They look like they are doing fine but could be genetically turning dark. You could be using too much Sea Kelp if more than 1TSP per gallon 3+ times a week. If not that, any nute lockout causing the color would really just be good in my opinion. I would be happy with the thick leaf cuticle that has a lot of trichome stalks. I have grown Blueberry Big Bud and it turns dark like this, not as dark, but if yours grows any like mine did, youll average out some 4" wide colas during growth that cures up to a tight 2" so let em keep going they will get big and can handle well over 2500ppm.

One of my favorite strains. Beware of tendency to be susceptible to mold because of the bud density.

Hansass, thanks for your input. I have had trouble controlling the nitrogen level of this grow. The leaves would easily become dark green and proceed to looking dark blue. but the black really took me by surprise. I have been diluting my nutrient solution this last week but the blackening has continued. I wouldn't worry except I want to learn for the next time. It does look like the picture you shared but my first grow didn't turn black (these are clones from my first grow). I am crossing my fingers and hoping this doesn't effect the trichomes. Thanks again for your help

Hi Future, I am wondering how many weeks of flower your big bud strain took to reach maturity. Mine are on week 8 but the trichomes are still mostly clear. I was expecting them to cloud up quite a bit by now since the pistils have mostly turned red/brown.

Oh man that was so long ago. Between 64 and 72 days maybe? They got biiiig. Nowhere near 118 days like Maui Wowie. Perhaps 89 at the latest for 5 gallon pots. Definitely not a short strain my any means. They can get wider and taller than a 1L Superthrive bottle.

Thanks future. That is what I was expecting.
