Black worms/caterpillars on my leaves?

Thankfully this is mostly the end of the flowering period and only found them on a few leaves, but this is my first time seeing this. Anyone know what this is? Are they caterpillars?

Yea, caterpillars are bad news outdoors. They eat their way into buds and shit everywhere, and cause bud rot. The best stuff to spray is BT - it’s a bacterial concentrate that wipes em out, and is safe for food crops. You gotta spray early and often to keep them away.

Thanks, will BT affect buds in any way? (like differente taste or anything) I guess it's completely safe from what I've been reading.

This is indoors. I removed all the leaves with damage, some of them made it to the buds, but 95% of the plant seems to be clean.
