Bitch Slap your plants

Hey everyone, the topic title says it all. I bitch slap my plants. I don't go all psycho crazy on them or anything but I slap them and shake them around for a few minutes each day. I have the idea that it's helping strengthen their stems. They seem to enjoy it so I will continue to do so.

Are there any silly things, tricks or other methods that you do to your plants that you normally wouldn't read about?

Discuss.

There's a theory that stressing out your plants the last couple weeks before harvest will increase trichome production. I've heard jamming rusty tacks in the stem, flushing with ice water, extended dark periods before harvest. Not really sure if there's any real science behind these methods but to each is own.

A friend of mine puts coins in the bottom of his containers. He claims this helps his plants uptake copper. No clue how true it is.

Back in the day people used to put nails in stalks of plants for the same reason, don't know if it really works but also read it can fuck your ladies up too... so who really knows? Another way to make them stronger is to pinch the stems, this I know works and really makes them thick and strong.

I was being 100% serious but if you want to troll my thread, go for it

Copper is one of the most toxic things you can give a plant. But I doubt coins on the botton of the pot actually does anything as the roots will do their best to avoid contact with them. Thats why some of us coat the inside of our pots with Spinout or the like.

Ya I though it wasn't good for plants, maybe it was to kill them? Could have read it wrong but either way I wouldn't advise doing it

They may use a very small amount of it but plants wouldn't grow without copper. It's only toxic if the levels are too high. Funny you mention Spinout, I was just reading about this stuff last night. I might have to give it a shot on my next grow.

Yea I don't know how true it is. I believe we were talking about weird deficiencies and how to treat them. The copper and iron def. treatment was the coins in the soil. Again I have no idea if this was actually done but he claims that it works.

Copper will not work if you drive it into the stalk. it will eventually kill it cuz its toxic to plants. Stressing your plants in any way is Never a good idea. So why do that? :)

So if I was trying to kill my plant or induce some last minute trichome production, driving copper nails into the stalk would actually work. Not that I would ever do that, just sayin... and geez, why would anyone want to stress their plant? Probably the same reason people flush their plants for 2 weeks before they harvest.

I always give my seedlings a few little light flicks daily for up to 2 weeks my stem gets massively thick and strong, i dont use fans so this is how i induce a thick strong stem.
