Hi guys,
Im on my first grow and so far things have gone well. But..........I went into my local grow shop today to buy a ph pen for my "funky tomatoes" and the owner told me I need to water my biocanna soil with water ph'd around 5.8. This information was contrary to everything I had read on the internet about watering soil (6.3-6.8 seems to be the opinion of most people). He said to check the back of my biocanna soil bag and it says the soil has a ph buffer level of between 5.5-6.1. But........then the biocanna nutes say they can be absorbed by water of a ph level of upto 7.0.
So my question to you guys is, what the hell do I do?
Do I slowly lower the ph of my water until its 5.8? or keep watering at a ph of 6.8?
I havnt had too many problems and im now into my 4th week of flowering. Some of my lowers leaves have yellowed and died off but i think this may be because the canopy is blocking light to them.
Any help is welcome
Thanks
