Big time Noob Question about seedling and watering

I have germinated my seeds for an indoor grow and I am planning on transferring them to dixie cups today. So here's my question: When should I water them for the first time? As soon as they are in the soil? Or should I wait? Thanks so much for your help in advance. I know this question may be ticky-tacky but I want to give myself the best chance at doing this right the first time. Thanks again!

moisten your soil mix prior to planting the seeds, then spray them with water to let the top of the soil settle somewhat. Keep them moist, not saturated and you'll be fine.

I'd get the soil moist and then plant your seeds. If you plant the seeds and then water, they sometimes are washed down into the dirt deeper than they need to be. This forces them to use alot of energy just to sprout.
