I tried plugging in 2 1000watts into my sockets and the circuit breaker will pop.
If i want to run 5 1000watt lights in 1 room how do i plug them in without the ciruit breaker popping? is the ONLY way to run extension cords? Or is there another way.

I'm not an electrician... and I probably know less about electricity than the average guy... but I think you should have each light on its own breaker... and you may even need to replace your current breakers with ones that have a higher capacity.

extension cords for that much juice can overheat and cause a fire. you're better off clearing out the room and having a licensed electrician wire a 50 amp circuit to the room. tell the electrician you are going to install an electric kiln or something else that takes a lot of power.

You can run them on the same line. But as said above you generally are at 10 amp per light so that is the breaker you need and as far as wiring goes if you go to home depot tell the guy working in that dept. your amp load and how many feet you are running and he will tell you the right size wire to run. Wire isnt cheap at all but is a must or you will end up on the news for the fire dept finding a grow room on fire. Good luck on the setup.

if youre running that many 1000 watt lamps, be prepared to be noticed if the cops every fly over and scan
