Hey there, growers!

I started growing, because I wanted few plants in my room - I love how they look like. Didn`t think of purchasing lights, nutrients or something like that. Later I realized, that I could even try to grow something seriously.

So, main problems, what I had previously:
*bad soil;
*plants stretched;
*slow growth, because I had small lamp;
*did not know pH vallue;
*started growing without anything - lights, soil, nutrients, place and knowledge - this is very bad, because my plants had many stress. But in future I will not grow, if I will have not enough knowledge and equipment.

Main problems now:
*don`t have 6500k bulbs for veg;
*don`t have ventilation;
*don`t have something light reflective for walls;
*don`t have pH meter.

I have three 85w 2700k CFL bulbs and one 65w bulb, Greenworld soil (it`s pH at the start was 6.5), Schultz and local nutrients.

I started with 24/0 light cycle, now i`m going 18/6, because bulbs are heating too much. BB are 4 weeks old, wild one - 6 weeks (today I noticed pistils - great Christmas gift). The wild one looks like sativa crossed with ruderalis. I topped it once.
Temp is from 22 to 26 degrees C.
I plan veging them for at least 2 weeks.
Today I will repot them in bigger pots.

Despite all the bad stuff I have done, they look healthy, except two BB - they have strange looking leaves. Someone knows, what could be the problem? I think those are genetics, but `i`m not sure.

Wish me good luck and say anything You think - I need knowledge. Cheers! :bigjoint:

Yesterday repoted 4 of them. Runed out of soil, so the last one is waiting for bigger pot.
Took cuttings from wild one. Now she will develop 4 tops. Two side branches almost gained main tops.
I hope those two cuttings will develop roots. Used Schultz Take Root powder.

And some pictures.

Tied plants a bit down, to make them bushy. Also topped wild one`s side branches. Now 8 tops are growing.

From Amsterdam Marijuana Seeds.
What`s "triploid"? Didn`t find this word in dictionary.

Were they feminized? If so, that'd completely explain the weird leaves.
Triploid means that the cell isn't diploid - that is, that it has three sets of dna instead of 2 (or sometimes even polyploid dna, which is four sets.) They do weird shit to those plants sometimes to get them to breed fem. If they weren't, then I dunno, maybe just a trait of the strain. (Do me a favor and look it up and down and see if there are any nodes with three branches coming off?)

Made two CO2 bottles out of hot water, sugar and yeast. It was easy and started to give bubbles after 10 minute shaking.
Read that co2 can realy speed up growing and make bigger yields. Any advices, how to make it better for my closet?

Yeah co2 does help but I wouldn't worry so much about that yet, And plus you probably want to use something a little bigger like a co2 burner but that also means the room has to be air sealed. I woulnt worry about co2 if I were you

I was reading some book in barns n nobles yesterday that said co2 supplements can increase growth rates by as much as five fold. Sounds like any extra would be worth it to me.

Yeah, I was walking and saw cannabis plant, so I took one branch and gathered seeds.
I germinated lots of seeds. About 80 % germinated. Took seven with biggest taproots. But only one is a female - the smallest one.
But I`m confused a bit - wild one already has hairs coming out, but I haven`t been on 12/12 cycle. Could it be a ruderalis crossed with sativa?
I found out, that only two of big buds smell - does that mean something?

P.S. How to quote a message?
I pushed "quote" and wrote something, but in preview the whole text doesn`t look ok.

hey thats really cool that u got wild weed growing near where u live really.u can probably go back every year at the beginning of the season before the males pollinate the females and take females and separate them out and grow them. like a free clone bank.

The text doesn`t say, how the crosed strain looks and acts like, but I think that it is a ruderalis and sativa cross.
Plant is short and bushy and it showed hairs before the 12/12 cycle.

i think if you where to mount your lights sideways you would get more usable light, i think most of your light is just being wasted at your walls that arent reflective
