Big Bud here,it grows very fast & is real easy to care for,its not real picky about growing conditions & nutrients,the main colas are massive,the lesser buds are also huge,yeild will depend on how long you let the plant veg for,if you let them veg for a month you can expect a couple of 0's after drying,the smoke is real nice,nothing jaw dropping but better than anything you'll buy on the street without paying silly 300 an ounce prices.
As a matter of fact the pic in my avatar is a big bud cola.
1 grow gave me enough kick ass smoke to last a year, somking as much as i feel like.

I think I am going to try growing critical mass (mr. nice seeds reworked version of big bud for anyone who doesn't know) Do you know how big the plants would get in height if I let them veg for two months? Just wondering, I like doing a perpetual grow so I might have to consider scrog or something.
Scubasteve - I have heard that you should definitely go with buying Sensi big bud or Mr. Nice seed's critical mass. Both of these seed companies have reworked the genetics of the original big bud to give it some more potency, ect. Like panhead said, it isn't the best quality smoke ever but that is when people are comparing it to the killer strains that they order online and would never think about selling it to anyone (or at least I wouldn't) Big bud is definitely what it's advertised as, a commercial strain which gives you a huge yield and some decent bud. I have heard people growing it on here and doing so well with the strain that they can pass it off as white widow.

I know that you will get crazy yields with big bud outdoors. I would expect around a pound a plant but maybe someone who was grown it outdoors would know better. I think I will be putting some outside this summer though. It flowers pretty quickly so I would imagine it finishes in time but since I haven't done it I am not sure.

Hmmmm,funny you should mention Critical Mass,ive got 10 "Critically Mashed" from the DR germing right now,the Mashed Strain is White Rhino Crossed With Critical Mass.
BTW,big bud plants vegged for 2 months will end up around 4ft tall & if not pruned will be around 30 inches wide,they get big fast as hell once you enter flowering,even the popcorn buds from the shaded branches are large & dense enough to get good smoke from,not one ounce of that plant's buds goes to waste.

Thanks for the info. 4 Ft. tall isn't too high for me, I have more height than that actually. When you first posted I was thinking more like 6 ft. If your saying a couple o's off a 1 month veg plant I can't wait to see what I yield. I am hoping around a qp per plant. But 30 inches wide... ouch. That would almost span my whole width... I was going to try to grow 4 plants in there, maybe I still can. I can give the plants probably around 19 inches in width, they will just have to squeeze if you think that's possible
I might have to do some trimming / tieing.BTW, critically mashed sounds like some bomb shit. MNS doesn't sell it directly do they? I have looked that their seeds many times and haven't noticed that strain. I just looked on the doc's website and didn't see it.

I am growing big bud for the first time right now. The seeds were from homegrown fantaseeds. Only seven out of ten germed in paper towels, but the ones that did are doing pretty good. I put them on 12/12 when they were only about a month old. They were all around 14-20 inches. They have been on 12/12 for a little over a week now and its looking like most are female. Ive only had to pull one male and all the rest are showing their first hairs except one. Id go measure them for you, but i dont wanna turn on the light. id say they are about 2 feet though. The male that i pulled yesterday is sitting right here and looks about that height.
