If it is too much run some extra lines to nowhere. The problem with way too big is it makes a lot of heat. You are right though, the dinky ones don't get it and neither does 1 or 2 airstones. That's what makes people think they need a water pump and feeder tubes in a simple dwc tote. More bubbles makes everything better.

lol it has a regulator built right on it. i think this is going to be awsome!!! guys it made the water in the fish tank look like it was boiling. @ like 5psi. the regulator has a stone filter in it too.

would the constant running of the pump wear it out too fast? Just curious that the compressor wasnt made to run 24/7 like an Aq. pump..... just a thought, but hey, if it works I'll jump in on that! Let us know!

please do keep me posted....I've been thinking about this all day....other than it over heating and wonking out...I think you've come upon an epiphany!!!

Sounds like a great idea conceptually... but I don't think this kind of compressor will stand the test of time, this much use may burn it out. plus airbrush compressors are pretty loud.
I would love to know how it works out for ya. Keep us posted.

OK guys here is what i have come up with. we are all worried about the heat and over working the compressor but airbrushing takes along time to do and this type of compressor is not made to build to a psi then shut off it just keeps pumping the hole time.from what i hear airbrushing takes hours and hours so i am hoping it will not get over worked but just in case i am running it with my green air timer. on for a half an hour off for 10mins just to give it a cool off.
k as far as the heat going in the lines yes at the compressor end of the tube is hot but by the time it gets to my splitter the air lines are cool to the touch. when it gets in the res it is for sure cool air and maybe even dropping res temps. the best part is the more stones i put on it it pumps the same amount of air!!! will post pics soon. oh and it is not that loud you can only hear it if your in the room when you come out you can not even hear it.

here are some pics for yall !!

You might want to have a backup. If it goes out you need to get more bubbles on your roots asap.

no i have it hooked up to my green air timer 30mins on 9mins off. it has been like that for days and i have noticed alot more growth every day then i was getting.:joint:

Think I gotta get me one of those.....

It is a diaphram pump like the aquarium pumps then...an "oil less" compressor? Send me the specs on it...I want to find one localy! Name/model etc... Ihave been running a Aq pump with the lights on my timer (I dont have enough plugs left on my multi strip) and it stays on 18 hours and off 6, I dont see any difference between that bin and the other bin that runs a pump 24/7 so you may (if you want to) cut it to 30 on 20 off or sumthing... oh, and have you checked the res temps? high/low/same? I think this is a killer idea!
